What is New Haven Chronicles?
New Haven Chronicles, is a film based on Lunchbox Cop, an original graphic novel written by the Driftwood Publishing team. Driftwood Publishing started work on the graphic novel in 2019 and began talks with the West Century team about the short film shortly after.
Much like E.T, The Goonies, or Stranger Things "New Haven Chronicles" is a coming-of-age story of friendship, loss, a daring adventure. Audiences will be taken on a wild ride as the kids attempt to save their town and all they love.
After the small town o f New Haven is shaken by a deadly explosion at the local recycling plant, Quinn Carlson and his friends seek to uncover the truth behind the mysterious incident that took his father's life.
It's been six months since New Haven was shattered by a tragedy that destroyed the town's number one employer and a beloved beat cop, Carl Carlson, disappeared. Now, the city is ready to move on while Carl's orphaned son Quinn wrestles with his community to stay in the past, where there's hope of his dad's survival and restoration o f his old life. While investigating the accident himself, Quinn uncovers corruption and conspiracy that doesn't just go beyond New Haven- it goes beyond this world. After Quinn locates his father in a transformed state, he must gather his friends and allies to conquer grief and a veiled enemy.
